Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things.
I wanted to share a list of the tools and technologies I use—whether for building software, staying productive, or just indulging in things that make me feel productive. For those curious, here are my go-to essentials.
Workstation
14” MacBook Pro, M3, 16GB RAM (2023)
I used a Windows desktop for years before making the switch, and the difference has been incredible. Everything feels smoother, faster, and more efficient. I no longer worry about system slowdowns or constant maintenance—it’s been a refreshing change that I wish I had made sooner.
NuPhy Air75 V2 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard
I used to use a Keychron C1 wired keyboard, and while I wouldn’t call myself a keyboard expert, I felt the need to switch to a wireless one. After looking at recommendations, I decided on this, and so far, it’s been a great upgrade that I didn’t know I needed.
MX Master 3S for Mac Wireless Mouse
It’s easily one of the best mice for Mac, and using it just feels effortless. Something about the smooth scrolling and gestures makes everything feel more intuitive—like it was made to fit perfectly into my workflow.
IKEA Jarvfjallet Chair
I’ve been using this chair for so long that I’ve never felt the need to look for anything else. I’m sharing it here because I genuinely love it and recommend it to people around me. I’m sure plenty of new chairs have come out since I got it, but I wouldn’t know—this one just works.
Development tools
iTerm2
I’m not entirely sure what it does that the default macOS Terminal doesn’t, but it’s what I use. It looks nice, feels smooth, and at this point, it’s just part of my workflow.
Visual Studio Code
Honestly, I don’t think it even needs an explanation—it’s by far the most popular code editor. It has everything you could ask for, works flawlessly.
Design
Figma
As a web developer, I spend most of my time bringing designs to life, and Figma is the tool I rely on for that. It’s easy to use, works great, and I actually enjoy using it—I’m sure designers love it just as much.
Productivity
Notion
I use Notion to organize my research and learning, keeping track of everything in one place. Whether I’m reviewing a topic or taking quick notes, it’s the tool I always come back to.
